The Rabbi Sacks’ Legacy launches new Passover activity

The Rabbi Sacks Legacy has launched a new interactive family activity for Passover.

Made available by the charitable trust which honours the life and teachings of former Chief Rabbi Lord Sacks, the free-to-download and use scavenger hunt, is a creative way for families to celebrate the holiday while exploring its deeper meanings and significance.

Featuring 10 challenges and questions, as well as an answer card, the activity is available for download at www.rabbisacks.org/seder.

The inspiration for this scavenger hunt came from Rabbi Sacks’ essay, ‘The Missing Fifth’, in which he wrote: “Just as an x-ray can reveal an earlier painting beneath the surface of a later one, so beneath the surface of the Haggadah there is another pattern to be discerned.”

The essay is also available for download on the activity page on the website.

Rabbi Sacks passed away on November 7, 2020. At that time his professional initiative, the Office of Rabbi Sacks, transitioned to The Rabbi Sacks Legacy to perpetuate the timeless and universal wisdom of Rabbi Sacks as a teacher of Torah, a moral voice, and a leader of leaders.
