Two Jewish charities win top awards for fundraising films

Kisharon and One Family scoop gold and silver prizes at the European EVCOM Clarion Awards 2017

Two Jewish charities in the UK have scooped gold and silver at a national awards ceremony for their fundraising films.

Kisharon, which helps people with learning disabilities, and One Family, which supports victims of terror in Israel, won first and second prize respectively in the Celebratory category at the European EVCOM Clarion Awards 2017.

Representatives of both took the stage at an awards ceremony in London on Friday, together with the films’ creators at Vanilla Films.

Kisharon’s fundraising manager Richard Franklin said: “It feels great to have won five consecutive national industry awards now with Vanilla. If you have a good team, strong ideas and great chemistry, you can create fantastic films with lasting impact.”

One Family chief executive Andrew Alexander said:  “We’re absolutely delighted the film won silver. It is testament to the hard work of Vanilla, proving success financially for us and acclaim for the production team.”
