Voice of the Jewish News: Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime l’chaim

Marking Fiddler's 50th anniversary was a no-brainer for this paper, as we brought together the surviving cast members for Life magazine and a special performance at JW3

It is the musical of musicals! The one we’ve known all the words to since we were children. Sunrise, Sunset echoes under every chupah and every party is heralded by the rousing notes of To Life.

It is that very song which will be performed by such esteemed names as Robert Rinder, James Cleverly and Ruth Smeeth, together with the four champion Tevyes – Dudu Fisher, Andy Nyman and Yehezkel Lazarov with a star turn from Chaim Topol in last year’s Chai virtual dinner –  which heralds our 50th anniversary celebration of the film Fiddler On The Roof this Sunday.

Marking its 50th anniversary was a no-brainer for this newspaper. The pandemic didn’t stop us from finding the surviving cast members and bringing them together in the Passover edition of Life magazine and again virtually on Sunday for our exclusive reunion in partnership with JW3.

To see the actors who played the characters we know so well and hear
them share their memories of our favourite film is a once-in-a-lifetime moment you won’t forget… and must not miss.
