Warner swims to national masters win

Open water swimmer Adam Warner claimed another gold medal at the recent British Gad Master national championships at the Manchester Aquatic centre.

In what was his last pool meeting before he heads off to Russia for the Masters world championships, Adam claimed gold in the 800m and bronze in the 400 free. He also managed to record a masters personal best in his other two events, the 200 free and 200 IM.

He said: “I’m pleased to have come away from my first official masters nationals as a masters swimmer, as a gold and bronze medalist. However, I need to step it up again if I want to medal in the worlds, there’s lots of hard work still left to do.”

His next [open water] competition is the midland open water Championships.
