The three winners of our cheesecake competition

The Jewish News can today reveal the winner of the Choose Your Own Cheesecake competition in partnership with the United Synagogue and COCO Bakery.

Hundreds of votes came in, and the winning flavour which will be made and sold at COCO Bakery ahead of Shavuot is S’mores Cheesecake, making 4-year-old David Kaufman of Golders Green, Natalie Braham of Hendon, and Rebbetzen Blima Wollenberg of Woodford Forest, the lucky winners.

All three came up with the same idea independently.

The three winners will all receive a gift voucher to spend at the bakery as well as their own cheesecake.

For every S’mores Cheesecake sold, COCO Bakery will make a donation to support the vital work of US Chesed which supports vulnerable members of the community.

The cheesecake is available to buy from COCO Bakery in Golders Green from Monday 10th May.

David said: “Thank you for voting for my S’mores cheesecake! Please can everyone buy it and have a lovely Shavuot!”

Natalie said: “It feels very encouraging to have won… I just hope the community will enjoy it and have a lovely Shavuot!”

Rebbetzen Wollenberg said: “It was so exciting to win the competition especially as I never win anything! I cannot wait to try the winning cheesecake.”

Congratulations to our winners and our thanks to everyone who submitted an idea. The United Synagogue wishes the whole community a Shavuot sameach,” added Richard Verber, the United Synagogue’s Communications Director.
