‘World’s most expensive kippah’ worth £125,000 on sale

If bling's your thing, and you have a few quid to spare, a yarmulke featuring more than 3,500 Swarovski crystals is going for a six-figure sum

It’s the ideal Chanukah present: a yarmulke studded with 3,500 crystals and topped with a flawless two-carat diamond, going cheap at £125,000.

For the man who wants to stand out from the crowd comes “the world’s most expensive kippah” is for sale on VeryFirstTo.com, the luxury launches website, from artist Toks Daniel and with the help of a Hatton Garden jeweller.

The headwear features more than 3,500 Swarovski crystals all hand-placed over two weeks, with a flawless two-carat D-colour diamond sitting atop a Star of David – the perfect way to celebrate the “festival of lights”.

The solitaire was cut and crafted by Robert Goodman, a veteran jeweller based in London’s Hatton Garden, and acts as the cherry on the top for Daniel, who is using the yarmulke for the launch of a new site selling luxury goods.

Daniel, from Nigeria, has created custom pieces for footballers Cristiano Ronaldo, Didier Drogba and Ian Wright, and has said he will donate £1,000 of the sale price to Chabad Lubavitch of Nigeria, should it be purchased.
