London Mayor Boris Johnson has been on a kibbutz

In the heat of a debate about Gaza this week, London Mayor Boris Johnson declared himself “a Zionist” on morning radio, before distancing himself from Israel’s actions, which he called “disproportionate”.

Speaking on LBC, Johnson said: “I am a passionate Zionist. I am a supporter of Israel. I believe in its existence. I’ve been on a kibbutz for heaven’s sake.”

Pressed on Prime Minister David Cameron’s refusal to criticise Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip, he added: “I can’t for the life of me see how this can be a sensible strategy.

“I think what has been happening in Gaza is disproportionate. I think it’s ugly and tragic and I don’t think it will do Israel any good in the long-run.”

    He doesn’t have it right. He shows no insight into ‘proportionality’ – on one side Hamas deliberately sacrifice their own people, using children as human shields and suicide bombers, on the other Israel does everything it can to warn Gazans and not harm them. If Israel wanted to kill civilians, the death toll (even at the numbers distorted by Hamas) would be far greater. And if it wasn’t for Iron Dome and bomb shelters, the Israeli civilian casualties would be far, far greater.

      Ha? Human shields? God, people who actually believe these lies are so stupid! The Zionist bombed, shot and dropped tons of missiles to Palestine because what, they feel that there MIGHT be missiles and rudals hidden in public places. There MIGHT be missiles hidden in refugee camp, which later are claimed to disappear because Hamas has them hidden. There MIGHT be, yes, but there MIGHT NOT be!

      Warn the Gazans? Like, possibly, 3 minutes before the home was bombed? Knock on the roof? And pray, I ask you, where should they go from their house? UN’s refugee camp? Your Zionist has blown them away. At the street? God, even children playing in the beach were bombed; how can the street be any safer than beach? So Yess where do you want them to go? Both borders were closed, are the supposed to swim, then? Wait even the fishermen were shot!

      I do not support the suicide bombers, but if it’s my family who were bombed, with the rest of the world doesn’t seem to give single shot to what actually is happening in my country, being treated like animals with no future by any means -can’t go to other countries, waking up to the sound of bombs every hours or so-called then yes, I will find death to be more preferable. They might have thought that there is nothing they can do and it is the only way; the investigators of ICC were stopped by Zionist and thus can’t continue their investigation right? Why will they do that? Hamas and Palestine have agreed to be investigated as well if that means the Zionist state can finally be investigated but Nooo, they have to stop the investigators!

      If you have nothing to hide, dear Zionist, then why are you so afraid to be investigated?
