One of Israel’s most-celebrated singers is to return to London this summer for his first UK concert for a decade.
Shlomo Artzi will perform to thousands of fans at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 8 June at a one-off event in aid of Variety Israel and media partnered by the Jewish News.

He said: “I am very excited to be coming back to London this summer – the welcome I receive from you is fantastic. I am honoured to have been asked to use this concert as an opportunity to support Variety Israel. Their work is certainly admirable and I am delighted to aid this worthy cause. I’m looking forward to another unforgettable night!”
The concert is the latest London event organised by Tzemach Productions, who are bringing Idan Reichel to the capital this weekend.
Set up at the initiative of leading figures including former President Chaim Herzog and actor Chaim Topol , Variety Israel has supported thousands of children with special needs. President Udi Angel said the charity was honoured that artzi has chosen to support the cause“Every year Variety Israel helps thousands of Israeli children with special needs through financing therapy, medical treatment and the purchase of therapeutic and rehabilitation aids.
