Three Israelis arrested on suspicion of selling rocket parts to Hamas
Three Israelis have been arrested on suspicion of selling rocket parts to Hamas.
Details were scarce, after military censors imposed a gagging order on much of the story, but the three Israeli nationals have been accused of “providing raw materials directly to Hamas for the benefit of manufacturing rockets, missiles and other armaments.”
Authorities also took the opportunity to issue a general statement saying there was “a disconcerting phenomenon in which Israeli business owners do serious harm to the security of the State of Israel in exchange for money”.
The Gaza-based Islamist party, which is widely regarded as a terrorist group around the world, is believed to be re-arming after last year’s 50-day war, during which over 2,000 people were killed, most of whom were civilians.
