64-year-old Golders Green man arrested in connection with alleged sexual offence
Unidentified man detained at north-west London police station following police being made aware of an interview featuring the suspect that emerged in December 2022
A 64-year-old Golders Green man was arrested on Thursday in connection with an investigation into alleged sexual offence incidents, said to have taken place in the area in 2022.
The man was been taken to a north-west London police station where he is currently detained.
The arrest follows the police being made aware of an interview featuring the suspect that emerged in December 2022.
During this interview an unnamed woman, who appeared anonymously, alleged she had been the victim of non-recent sexual offences that are said to have taken place in London.
An investigation was launched by detectives from the North West Command Unit.
A police spokesperson said: “We would urge women who have been the subject of assault or abuse of any kind to speak to us. You will be listened to and taken seriously, your identity will be protected and specialist officers will be there to support you through the investigation and any subsequent judicial process.”
