80-year-old woman among three stabbed in attack in Rishon Lezion
Three Israelis were stabbed in an attack that began on a bus and continued into the street in the Israeli city of Rishon Lezion.
The attacker stabbed a 35-year-old man on a bus, wounding him moderately, before continuing his rampage onto the street.
The man, who the Israeli police identified as being a a 19-year-old resident of Hebron, then then ran into a bakery and stabbed an 80-year-old woman, seriously injuring her, and wounded another man lightly.
Citizens attempted to stop the attacker, before he was arrested by police.
A senior paramedic with MDA, Yoni Ohayun, was at the scene, and said “When we arrived at the scene we saw an 80-year-old woman laying near a bakery on the floor on Herzl Street. She was fully conscious and suffering from a stab wound to her upper body. We provided first aid and evacuated her to Asaf Haropeh hospital in moderate-serious condition.”
