Comic actress Sheila Steafel, known for her starring roles in The Frost Report, How’s Your Father and Radio 4’s Week Ending, has died aged 84.
Born in South Africa, Steafel grew up in Lancashire, where she sang at the local synagogue, where her parents directed the choir.
She later acted alongside Ronnie Corbett, Ronnie Barker, John Cleese, Peter Cook, Dudley Moore, Spike Milligan, Tommy Cooper and Kenny Everett.
