Tech That: Air Up watter bottle

Air Up comes with interchangeable flavour pods that 'trick' your senses into thinking the water is flavoured

Available from: air-up.com

RRP starting at £34.95

What is it?

This bottle comes with interchangeable flavour pods that ‘trick’ your senses into thinking the water is flavoured

Plus points

  • No other product like this on the market
  • Suitable for all diets ( vegan, kosher etc) as there is no actual artificial flavouring In the pods – it is all natural aromas.
  • Healthy and calorie-free
  • Non-leak bottle
  • Comes in a range of different colours and new edition stainless steel to keep the water colder for much longer

Nil points

  • Pods come in sets of three and are pricey to keep refilling
  • Sometimes it can be difficult to taste the aroma due to incorrect positioning of the lid/pod, so it doesn’t always work.
  • Some people complain of the bottle leaking, however I didn’t have to a problem with this
  • Sometimes due to incorrect placement of the lid and straw which can happen a lot, a constant sucking sound repeats itself when sipping, which is very annoying.

Bottom line

✡ ✡ ✡

If the aim of Air Up is to make me drink more water, I can’t say that it fulfilled its mission. I love the idea of it but I find the ongoing cost of buying extra pods prohibitive.
