BBC1 is celebrating Purim on Sunday
Hamantaschen, humour and a feast of flavours from across the Jewish world
Purim is heading to BBC1 this weekend as The Celebration Kitchen dedicates its upcoming episode to the joyful Jewish festival at 11.30am on Sunday.
Featuring hamantaschen, humour and a feast of flavours from across the Jewish world, the daytime series will mark the story of Queen Esther with actor Elliot Levey telling Jewish dad jokes, joined by Rob Rinder, Rachel Riley and food personality Hannah Harley.
The episode also broadens the culinary lens to Central Asian-Jewish Bukharian dishes prepared by Lilian Cordell and in the kitchen alongside her are chefs Ben Rebuck and Eran Tibi, bringing their own flair to the festive spread.
