BBC condemned over Question Time with Galloway in Golders Green
George Galloway is set to appear on Question Time in Finchley and Golders Green next month, writes Justin Cohen.
The Respect MP, who called for Bradford to be an ‘Israel-free zone’ last summer, will appear on the BBC programme on a panel which will also feature Labour’s shadoe education secretary Tristram Hunt.
Mike Freer, the MP for Finchley and Golders Green, said: “The BBC decision to invite George Galloway to question time in Finchley and Golders, which is home to one of largest Jewish communities in Britain, is northing short of provocative.”
A BBC spokesperson said: “Question Time invites panellists who reflect a significant range of opinions on a number of different topics. Whilst Mr Galloway’s views are entirely his own, as an MP he has a right to appear on the programme and has done so previously. Subjects for discussion are chosen by our audience ahead of each show and this edition of Question Time will be no different.
