BICOM chief executive to step down after four years in the role
The chief executive of BICOM is to step down after four years in the role.
Dermot Kehoe, who will remain in post for the next month, will take up a new senior communications role within the NHS.
BICOM chair Edward Misrahi said: “Whilst I am sad to see Dermot leave, I am very proud of what BICOM has achieved under his leadership and wish him well in his future career. Culminating in this month’s We Believe in Israel conference, BICOM has gone from strength to strength under Dermot’s management and he leaves it in a robust and confident position.”
Saying it had been “an absolute privilege” to serve in the role, Dermot Kehoe added: “After two Gaza conflicts, two general elections and Britain biggest ever pro-Israel conference, now is the time for someone new to take the organisation forward.
“I am grateful for the support I have received from the Jewish Community. Their warmth and encouragement is what has made this job so rewarding. I am excited to be taking on new challenges in the NHS, a cause like Israel, in which I believe passionately”.
BICOM’s Israel Office Director Richard Pater will be covering the role in the interim whilst the Board of Trustees search for a permanent Chief Executive.
