Board complaint for deputy’s ‘Kapo’ tweet over Yachad
The Board of Deputies has received a complaint against Roslyn Pine, the deputy from North Salford Synagogue, for tweets made in an online exchange regarding pro-Israel group Yachad.
Bromley deputy Joe Millis alleges Pine breached the Board’s code of conduct when she wrote: “Jews who defame & undermine Israel from a safe zone r modern day Kapos. Supporting Yachad is undermining Israel.”
She added: “Message 2 Israel. We support u, luv u, r with u despite BoD’s Kapos.”
Millis said: “Her tweet plumbs new depths.”
*Kapos were Jewish inmates under the Nazis, that were appointed to supervise other prisoners.
