Bob Vylan singer calls for ‘armed resistance’ against the ‘f**king London Met’
EXCLUSIVE: In inflammatory rant during gig in Spain, Bobby Vylan tells fans that armed resistance is justified against the Met Police, the IDF and NYPD as they are arms of tyrannical governments
“Death to the IDF” singer Bobby Vylan has launched another incendiary rant on stage at a concert after calling for “armed resistance” in support of Palestine, and against “the *f**king London Met.”
In comments that will once again raise calls for tough police action against the group, Bob Vylan’s lead singer took aim at the IDF, London’s Metropolitan Police and the New York Police Department as arms of their respective governments as he spoke to the crowd at a concert in Spain a few days ago.
To cheers from fans he then said the band was in favour of “armed resistance” against “these arms of the government” before confirming: “We want to make that explicitly f**king clear.”
Online footage of Bobby Vylan’s remarks has been placed on Instagram by a user named celebrities4palestine, where the call for “armed resistance” was openly welcomed by those who commented.
“So damned proud of all these brave people standing up and saying ‘No, we will not be silenced, we will not condone genocide’, wrote one person who viewed the post.
Another said:”Free Palestine by all means”.
“I saw a wonderful quote on this topic earlier: ‘liberals will be against every war except the one currently happening, and will support every civil rights movement except the current one’,” observed another who had watched the footage.
Dressed in his now trademark shorts, white socks and white trainers, a topless Bob Vylan is filmed at the gig declaring:”We are pro Palestine, and we support the right to armed violence, because we ain’t no f**king pacifists.
“We understand that in dealing with tyrannical governments, you need to be violent sometimes….
“That is why, we see it from Palestine to f**king England to America…. We see these arms of the government, whether it be the IDF, whether it be the f**king London Met, whether it be the NYPD..
“We see them world over with their guns into our backs, their knees on our neck… So we we are for armed resistance. We want to make that explicitly f**king clear.”
To loud cheers, he added:”So down with Israel and the IDF, and free, free Palestine!”
Vylan added:”Government’s all over the world tell their populations not to be violent, not to encourage violence so that they can assert violence over you, so that they can act violently towards us.”
Jewish News has approached the Met Police for comment over Bobby Vylan’s latest hate-filled comments.
Vylan, whose real name is Pascal Robinson-Foster, made the comments on stage during a performance at the Canela Party indie rock festival.
Bobby Vylan infamously chanted “death to the IDF” during the band”s appearance on the West Holts stage at the Glastonbury Festival in June.
They have proceeded to launch further attacks on Israel at other gigs, but had their visas revoked for a tour of the US.
Avon and Somerset Police said earlier this month “Enquiries continue to be carried out in relation to comments made during a performance on stage at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday 28 June.”
The BBC has apologised for failing to cut its live stream of Bob Vylan’s set at Glastonbury calling the sentiments expressed “utterly unacceptable”.
