Boris Johnson appoints top QC David Wolfson as junior minister
Barrister will take up unpaid role in the House of Lords
The barrister David Wolfson, QC, has been appointed junior minister at the Ministry of Justice.
The unpaid post puts Mr Wolfson on leave of absence from his chambers at One Essex Court and sends him to the House of Lords.
Liverpool-born, he was educated at the city’s King David High School, the Western Wall yeshiva, and Selwyn College Cambridge.
He was made a QC in 2009 and is widely regarded as one of the most successful commercial lawyers at the Bar.
