Brady Maccabi Reds vs Finchley Revolution 3-0/2-0
Sunday, 19 May, 2013
Brady Maccabi Reds U13’s won the Watford Friendly League Yellow division title following a thrilling double-header encounter against Finchley Revolution.
The first game was won relatively easily with a 3-0 win, thanks to goals from Dan Gaby, Jamie Delane and an own goal.
The second game proved to be a much more tense affair with Jacob Elmon pulling the strings in midfield, while they hit the woodwork three times and saw numerous shots cleared off the line.
Goalless with ten minutes remaining, and with Brady needing to win the game to win the title, it was only a hat-trick of brilliant saves by goal keeper Ben Karbaron which kept them in it.
But with seven minutes to go, Jake Brassey scored a wonderful solo effort to give Brady the lead, before Dan Gaby scored his 46th goal of the season to finish the job to set off wild celebrations form the players and fans.
Joint-managers Johnathan Vandermolen and Adam Meranda said: “We are so proud of what the boys have achieved this season and we really feel that Brady has a very bright future.”
