Brexit Party unveils candidates in Hendon, Finchley and Golders Green
Julie Pelta and Yosef David, who are both Jewish, will contest the two seats in the next General Elections
An orthodox social worker and an entrepreneur have been unveiled as prospective parliamentary candidates for the Brexit Party in Finchley and Golders Green and Hendon.
Julie Pelta, 43, and Yosef David, 32, who are both Jewish, will contest the two seats in the next General Elections against incumbents Mike Freer and Dr Matthew Offord.
Yosef, 32, from Golders Green, who is a member of the orthodox Jewish community, is a social worker at Norwood and the director of Am Segula, a charity dedicated to the cultural heritage of Baghdadi Jewry.
“I pledge to make it my duty to tirelessly strive for the best interest of this hardworking, vibrant and diverse community,” he said. “I have deep and enduring links to the area as I have grown up, gone to school and today work in Hendon.
“It will be my honour to give back to my local area and work with residents to support their needs”
Pelta, the candidate for Finchley and Golders Green, founder of three businesses and business consultant, grew up in Westcliff-on-Sea before moving to London.
“I have lived in the area for over 10 years and know what a vibrant and diverse community I will be representing,” she said.
“I want to serve democracy as well as stand against racism and promote diversity. I encourage you to reach out to me with the issues that matter to you.”
