Keir Starmer has urged British nationals in Israel to register their presence on a newly set-up website in order to assist with efforts to help them leave the country.

He said the UK and other G7 countries were issuing advice to their citizens in Israel.
“All of us are giving advice to our citizens for British nationals in Israel, we’re giving advice today to register their presence, so there will be a portal for that.
“So I think all countries also taking the necessary measures on a protected basis.”
Finchley and Golders Green MP Sarah Sackman also reached out to local constituents who have relatives stranded in Israel offering assistance with their attempts to return home to the UK.
Government minister Sackman told British nationals who were constituents in Israel she was doing everything she could to help “at this deeply distressing time for our community in Finchley and Golders Green.
She added:”If you or a loved one is currently stranded in Israel, please reach out to my office” before leaving her email sarah.sackman.mp@parliament.uk.
Sackman also urged concerned locals to follow the latest developments on the foreign office website.
