Chai Cancer Care takes Rosh Hashanah gift sale online with week-long fundraiser
Charity will run week-long gift sale event with prizes on offer including a lunch for two with TV star Judge Rob Rinder, while a pop-up artisan market will be held next Sunday
Community charity Chai Cancer Care is taking its annual Rosh Hashanah gift sale online, with a week-long fundraising effort.
More than 50 vendors will be offering items ranging from homeware and judaica to baby clothing and artwork, with exclusive offers also on offer.
For £10, supporters can enter a prize draw, with the opportunity to win £500 in cash, a lunch for two with TV star Judge Rob Rinder or a Rose Gold Diamond Bracelet.
In addition to the online shopping event, which runs from 7-14 September, there will be a socially distanced outdoor Artisan Market at Chai’s Hendon-based centre, on Sunday 13.
Debra Zender, Chai Society Co-chai said that “due to Covid-19, we have had to pivot and adapt and I am delighted to say that the Gift Sale is back, bigger and better than ever and will go live online for one week.
“These two events are going to be amazing and we have been overwhelmed with the level of support shown to us by our vendors.”
Last year, more than 900 people attended Chai’s Rosh Hashanah Gift Sale with £50,000 pounds raised towards its services. Amid the pandemic, the charity is urging supporters to participate, after a significant drop in donations, but a rise in demand for its services.
