Chris Grayling accuses Labour of being ‘accessories to the crime’ of anti-Semitism
Writing on the website Conservative Home, Tory minister Chris Grayling claimed that Jeremy Corbyn’s party espouses a “so-called kinder, gentler politics” which “masks an undercurrent of racism and bigotry”.
He also branded the sharp rise in anti-Semitic incidents among Labour members “striking and alarming.”
Grayling goes on to take aim at the opposition for its ‘rapid march’ “towards the kind of extremism that should have no place in a modern society”.
However, he highlighted senior figures in the party such as Lord Levy and shadow chancellor John McDonnell for their vocal opposition to anti-Semitism.
Grayling said Labour MPs “mostly know this is all wrong”, but their’ failure to take action against the rising tide of anti-Semitism “makes them accessories to the crime”.
