Community news roundup: 18 – 24 August
Camp Simcha day out, Shoah survivors at Buckingham Palace and an award for Jewish Care: this week’s community news roundup.
Camp Simcha families got into the fast line with a sports car experience day last week. Organised by charity HabAid, more than 120 family members were taken to Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicester to enjoy ride-alongs in Ferraris, Porsches, Audis, BMWs and other sports cars. Chief executive Neville Goldschneider said: “It was a fun and adrenalin-filled day and a great way to try to forget some of the daily troubles our families have to face.”
