Double delight for HMH youngsters
U13 side win Watford Friendly League Spring Plate, having secured title last month.
HMH Fire U13’s completed a league and cup double at the weekend after they beat Whetstone Wanderers Leopards 3-1 to land the Watford friendly League Spring Plate.
Nathan Gellman’s double and Saul Norton’s strike saw the side, coached by Barry Skolnick and Alan Noik, to their second piece of silverware, adding to the Watford Friendly League U13 Yellow Division title they secured last month.
Skolnick said: “We couldn’t be prouder of this tight knit squad for winning the double. It’s been a wonderful season with the boys maturing in the way they play the game culminating in an impressive free flowing passing game against Whetstone in the Spring Plate Final.
“The smiles on the team’s faces come the final whistle will be etched on the watching coaches, parents and grand-parents alike for years to come.”
