Ed Balls is to address a major international conference for the tourism industry in Israel this summer, writes Justin Cohen
The Institute of Travel & Tourism’s annual forum, which takes place in a different country every year, will be held in Tel Aviv in June.
As well as the former Shadow Chancellor, the diverse range of speakers will include his one-time shadow cabinet colleague Mary Creagh, Lord Michael Cashman, Royal Mail chairman Peter Long and Gibraltar Chief Minister Fabian Picardo. From the world of travel, there will be senior figures from Hilton hotels and Thomas Cook.
Hugo Bieber, CEO of UK Israel Business, has also been confirmed to speak.
ITT chair Steven Freudmann said: ” The ITT Conference is the most important event of the UK travel industry. We are delighted that former Cabinet Minister Ed Balls will be speaking.”
