El Al resumes full-capacity flights across Europe, US and Far East following ceasefire
Starting 12 April, Israel's national carrier will offer services to destinations including London, Paris, Milan, Bangkok, New York and Miami
El Al is boosting its international flights to Europe, the US and Far East as part of a return to a regular schedule following the joint US-Israel military ceasefire with Iran.
An announcement from the Transportation Ministry on Wednesday evening said that Israel’s national carrier would gradually increase the number of flights with full passenger capacity from Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport as wartime air traffic restrictions are lifted.
Starting Sunday 12 April , El Al will operate full-capacity flights to a wide range of European destinations, including London, Athens, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Paris, Berlin, Budapest, Rome, Frankfurt, Munich, Lisbon, Madrid, Moscow, Milan, Bucharest, Prague, Vienna, Warsaw and Zurich. In the Far East, flights would resume to Bangkok, Phuket, and Tokyo, and in North America, to New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.
Israel’s airspace has been shut to most commercial traffic since 28 February, when Israel and the US launched a major joint military strike on Iran.
