FA’s football Tishri factsheet
The Football Association have released a football and Tishri factsheet as part of their educational programme to help promote diversity within the game.
Produced by the FA Equality Group, FA Faith and Football group, and in partnership with the CST and Maccabi GB, the four-page document, which was sent out predominantly to County FA’s, explains to those working in football the importance of the month and its impact on football.
Describing all the festivals, including how and why they’re observed, the leaflet also describes which football regulations apply to the holy month – notably FA Rule B5 Football & Religious Observance
Former Israel and Chelsea manager Avram Grant, together with USA international Yael Averbuch also speak about being involved in football during the month.
