Former teacher at Jewish secondary jailed for sexual activity with underage girl
Man has been sentenced to 34 months behind bars after pleading guilty to three counts
A former teacher at a Jewish secondary school near London has been sentenced to 34 months in prison for sexual activity with an underage girl, believed to be a pupil.
The man was sentenced at Snaresbrook Crown Court this week after pleading guilty to three counts of penetrative sexual activity with a girl under the age of 16.
He was suspended in 2018 after police were called to investigate allegations that he had been having sexual relations with a pupil.
Local media reported that he had asked another girl for a threesome, and that officers were investigating claims of images being circulated on the popular social media site Snapchat.
Court reporting restrictions mean that the name of school, the name of the former teacher, and the subject in which he taught, cannot be detailed in order to protect the identity of the victim.
