French Jewish extremists attack BuzzFeed journalist over Israel reporting

An angry Jewish mob attacked a French journalist in Paris on Thursday as the Jewish Defence League protested an agency’s coverage of the conflict in Israel.
David Perrotin, who works for popular online news site BuzzFeed, was badly beaten by over a dozen Jewish activists from Ligue de Défense Juive (LDJ), who were there to demonstrate against Agence France Presse (AFP).
The masked thugs, some of whom brandished iron bars, appeared to target Perrotin, who has reported on LDJ actions.
The attackers were part of a 150-strong crowd draped in LDJ and Israel flags. They blocked office entrances and let off flares, shouting “AFP collabo,” “Islamic terrorists” and “We’re coming to get you”.
AFP journalists are among the few to operate in Gaza and the West Bank, regularly filming Palestinian demonstrations against Israeli military and police units. Israel has been accused of “disproportionate” actions in its response to a wave of violence in recent weeks, with dozens of Palestinians having been shot by security forces.
