Grant’s Ghana reach last four of African Cup
Avram Grant’s Ghana side cruised into the semi-finals of the African Cup of Nations after they recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over Guinea on Sunday.
Two goals from Christian Atsu, coupled with Kwesi Appiah’s strike saw the Black Stars win their quarter-final clash with minimum fuss, to set up a semi-final showdown agains the hosts Equatorial Guinea on Thursday. evening.
Happy with the progression of his side, Grant said: “Every game we are better than the game before, there were many chances and we scored beautiful goals. We showed a lot of quality today, and that’s important for this team.”
And looking ahead to their last-four tie, he said: “We saw their game on Saturday in the hotel and we will watch DVDs and learn about them, but most important for us is our game.”
