Head
The Governors of Immanuel College invite applications for the role of Head from September 2022 or January 2023.
Immanuel College is a highly successful co-educational Jewish day school located in a leafy suburb of Hertfordshire within easy reach of North London. The College has grown significantly over recent years and now educates some 700 pupils aged 4 – 18 years. Immanuel has built a strong reputation and, with demonstrably impressive ‘added value’, has exceeded expectations in terms of its exam results, although not at the expense of the pupils’ welfare, which has continued as a central pillar of its approach. Following this period of growth and educational advancement, Immanuel is now planning towards a period of significant development which will include a substantial building and refurbishment programme over the coming years.
The Head will play a pivotal role, working alongside the Board of Governors, in realising the long term aims and objectives for the future development of the College at this exciting time. The Head will be strategically and commercially minded as the facilitator of sustainable change, working collaboratively and openly in a way which builds trust and confidence across the school and the wider community.
This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding candidate who is aspirational and ambitious. The successful candidate will bring a proven track record of leadership and management experience. A commitment to the values and mission of the College and a collaborative and enabling style of leadership will be key elements. The next Head of Immanuel College is not required to be a member of the Jewish community although will need to work closely within it in alignment with the school’s values and future ambitions.
