Claire Shooter has been appointed as the new deputy head of Immanuel College in Bushey, following Beth Kerr’s departure.
Shooter, head of Year 7 girls and Spanish, has previously served as assistant head of sixth form, head of young enterprise and head of upper school PSHE for Years 10 and 11.
She holds a first class honours degree in Hispanic studies from the University of Birmingham and a PGCE from the University of Herfordshire.
The appointment, effective from April 29, follows two rounds of interviews, three written exercises, a role play and two presentations.
Headmaster Gary Griffin wrote in a letter to parents: “We wish Mrs Shooter all the best as she begins her new role next term, following Mrs Kerr’s departure.”
