IN PICTURES: Ed Balls Q&A with Jewish News readers
Over 150 people turned up at JW3 on Tuesday evening to quiz the man who may have his hands on the purse strings this time next month.
Labour’s Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls took over an hours’ worth of questions from young and old at a free- Jewish News event, which was chaired by Sky News presenter Samantha Simmonds.
Alongside more general topics such as immigration, tax and the economy, Balls covered the UK’s relations with Israel, Holocaust education and security at Jewish schools.
Jewish News’ Justin Cohen said: “We were delighted to provide the community with an opportunity to grill Ed Balls, just as we have with leading figures from across the political spectrum over the past five years. We will continue to provide these Q&A sessions once a new Government is in-place.”
The event was partnered by the Jewish Leadership Council and Board of Deputies.
