In Pictures: Mitzvah Day party and awards ceremony
Yesterday’s eighth international Mitzvah Day surpassed previous years with almost 30,000 volunteers from 19 countries simultaneously leading over 1,000 different projects around the world to do a mitzvah, the Jewish definition for good deed.
The Jewish News , in partnership with Mitzvah Day, also announce the winner of the annual Community Hero Award!
The winner was chosen by an esteemed panel of community leaders, including Shadow Minister for Public Health Luciana Berger, Norwood CEO Elaine Kerr, Jewish News Editor Richard Ferrer and Mitzvah Day founder Laura Marks.
