In pictures: Over £300,000 raised for Laniado Hospital
The man who manages Israel’s Iron Dome system captivated an audience in London’s Marriott Hotel.
Ari Sacher, who spoke via video-link, was the star attraction during a fundraising dinner for Laniado Hospital in Israel.
In stark contrast to the fine details of missile defence, magician Paul Daniels changed the mood by entertaining guests, on an evening that raised more than £320,000 for the hospital’s mammography department.
The night was capped off by a cocktail after-party with live music. Earlier this year, the hospital heralded the opening of a new MRI unit.
