IN PICTURES: Young Norwood raise £97,000 at the Emirates
Some of the UK’s top entrepreneurs lined up at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium to raise £97,000 at the annual Young Norwood Business, Finance and Entrepreneurs dinner.
Robert Jakobi of Metcalfe’s Food Company, Julien Callede of MADE.com and Uber’s Sarah Slater defended questions from Sky Sports TV presenter Olivia Wayne and an audience of over 300 young professionals from the world of business and finance.
The funds raised helped the Jewish children, family and learning disability charity celebrate 200 years of Royal Patronage.
After dinner guests threw themselves into the charity auction, bidding for prizes including a luxury Ibiza break and a year’s free five-a-side football. “I think we’ve proved tonight that this industry is not only ambitious for what we can achieve in business but also for the difference we can make,” said YN Business Finance and Entrepreneurs Committee chair Nick Feldman.
