Israel releases footage of Hamas leader in Gaza tunnel: ‘We will capture him’
"This video of Sinwar is a result of the manhunt we are conducting for him. The hunt will not stop until we capture him, dead or alive," IDF said.
The IDF released footage of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar in a tunnel in Gaza, allegedly showing him fleeing with his wife and children.
“Sinwar was seen fleeing with his children and one of his wives through the tunnel network, led by his brother, Ibrahim Sinwar. This footage, taken on October 10th at the beginning of the war, shows him escaping with his family underground through a tunnel to one of the pre-built safe complexes,” IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari said.
Hagari also said that IDF forces reached a compound where Sinwar was staying underground with other senior operatives: “The senior Hamas operatives are staying in the compound in good conditions. They have food and bathrooms, alongside safes with personal fortunes amounting to millions of dollars.”
“Hamas leaders, wherever they are hiding, should know they are on borrowed time.”

“This video of Sinwar is a result of the manhunt we are conducting for him. The hunt will not stop until we capture him, dead or alive,” he added.
Sinwar hasn’t been seen since October 7, but an Israeli woman who was later released from captivity in Gaza as part of a ceasefire deal said she met him in a tunnel.
