Israeli man among dead in Malaysia plane tragedy
An Israeli man is believed to be among the 298 people on board a Malaysian Airlines flight that crashed in Ukraine yesterday.
There were no survivors on board the aircraft which came down in rebel-held territory on route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpar. The two sides in the civil conflict in Ukraine have each claimed the brought down the aircraft with a missile.
Itamar Avon, 27, from Kiryat Tivon, was on board, according to his father’s Facebook page. He wrote: “He was with us for 27 y3ears and now only memories remain.”
The majority of those on board were Dutch, while nine Britons were also believed to have died.
