Israeli supermodel Bar Rafaeli set to co-host Eurovision in Tel Aviv
Singing extravaganza will be hosted with TV presenter Erez Tal alongside Rafaeli when it takes place next May
Israeli supermodel Bar Rafaeli is to co-host the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv in May.
Rafaeli, will co-host the singing extravaganza alongside TV host Erez Tal, with TV personalities Assi Azar and Lucy Ayoub hosting the Green Room.
Israel won the right to host the event after Netta won last year’s contest, but after several countries expressed concern about it being held in Jerusalem, the venue was moved to Tel Aviv.
Israeli media reported that Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot was organisers’ first choice to host the event, traditionally watched by around 180 million people, but turned it down due to scheduling difficulties.
Rafeali was told earlier this month that state prosecutors were planning to press criminal charges over tax offences.
