Israelis set for US Open qualifiers
Amir Weintraub and Julia Glushko are three wins away from reaching main draw at Flushing Meadows.
Amir Weintraub’s bid to reach the main draw of the US Open for the first time will see him first take on American Daniel Nguyen.
The Israeli will need to win three qualifying matches, before booking his place for the first round at Flushing Meadows. The winner of that match will face either the ninth seeded Czech Radek Stepanek or Croatian Franko Skugor.
Elsewhere in the draw, American Noah Rubin takes on China’s Yan Bai. Dudi Sela has already qualified for the main draw.
