Israel’s university for science and technology invites delegates for exciting tour
30 delegates enjoyed a five-day tour around Israel meeting Technion start-ups and enjoying Israel’s rich culinary scene.
British Technion took delegates back to Israel for the first time in two years for its first post-Covid “out of this world” tour.
30 delegates enjoyed a five-day tour around Israel meeting Technion related start-ups and enjoying Israel’s rich culinary scene.
Delegates met teams from StoreDot, a startup creating extreme-fast charging batteries, and
Elbit Systems, a high-tech defence and homeland security company.
They also met Space Pharma, a company that is trying to grow meat products from animal cells on intergalactic low waste farms.
Boasting two former Technion students, Space Pharma also uses miniaturised microgravity lab technology to help develop new drugs in Space at a fraction of the cost of traditional research methods.
Delegates were also introduced to Maayan Jaffe Hoffman, former Head of Strategy for the Jerusalem Post, David Horovitz, founding editor of the Times of Israel and Superintendent Micky Rosenfeld, former Israel Police National Spokesman to the foreign media.
The trip included talks from former Technion President Professor Peretz Lavie, who set up the Center for Sleep Medicine and PillCam creator Rafi Nave.
Group participant, Letitia Baker, said: “The Technion UK trip to Israel is a must! It not only encompasses the world-class achievements of the Technion but also provides a friendly, professional and informative experience of the many achievements of Israel.”
