Jewish A-level students show their class

Jewish schools across the capital are celebrating another outstanding year of A Level results.

Pupils at JFS, King Solomon High School, Immanuel, JCoSS Hasmonean and Yavneh have been discovering whether they have secured their chosen spots at university.

Yavneh College pupils are celebrating an impressive collection of results with 84% of top performers achieving A*to B grades. The school’s top performers include Ben Brown (3 A*and 1 A) and Nathan Dean (3 A*). 

Headteacher Spencer Lewis said that he was “delighted” with the A-level results, which were “an amazing achievement everyone can be extremely proud of.”

JCoSS saw 37% of all grades as A*- A, and over a third achieved 2 A’s or more.

Patrick Moriarty, Headteacher, commented on the successes of JCoSS’s students saying “these excellent results reflect the hard work put in by students and teachers alike.”

Strong grades came from Tamar Moshkovitz (3A* and 1A), Maya Moshkovitz (1A*and 3A) and Daniel Arenstein (1A* and 2A).

Hasmonean saw over 80% of their students reach A*- B A-level grades. The school’s Headmistresses spoke about their pupils saying that they are “delighted by their achievements”. The Executive Head Teacher, Mr Andrew McClusky said he is “proud to lead a school which achieves such exceptional academic results”.

The Head Girl team at Hasmonean did well, with the Shoshana Lister (1A* and 2A’s), Sara Ezekiel and Yael Holder (3A’s). Sara Ezekiel will be reading Medicine at King’s.

At JFS in Kenton almost 80% of students obtained A*- B grades with 10 students securing places at Oxford or Cambridge.

Headteacher Jonathan Miller welcomed the excellent results and said: “We are immensely proud of all our students who have achieved record breaking results this year.”

Amongst the high achievers were Benjamin Hilton and Kadya Wittenberg (4 A*), Benjamin Pollins and Oz Kilim (3A*s and 1A) and at least 10 other students with three A* grades.

Immanuel College received its best results since 2009 with almost 84% of students reaching A*- B grades.

Headmaster, Charles Dormer said: “It has been another great year for Immanuel and for all of London’s Jewish students.” He later added that “we at Immanuel are extremely happy and almost all of our students have got into their first choice university.” 

At King Solomon High School 75% of the students gained A*- C grades at A-level allowing students to progress onto the university of their choice. A representative of the school said “The school is delighted to announce a very pleasing set of A-Level results.” also saw success, with high flyers Ben Igielman (2A* and 1A), Daniella Goldman (2A* and 1 B), Ariel Haeems, (3A and 1B), Jamie Goldman and Lucy Sharp (1A* 2 A).
