Jewish designer takes teenwear to Fashion Week
Rebecca Rinder launches affordable party dress range for teenagers
It’s taken long enough but, at last, the folk at London Fashion Week
realised that children are the shoppers of the future. Parents will tell you they’ve already started, and they have by putting Rebecca Rinder at Hadley Dress Collection on speed dial. That’s why the designer, in collaboration with Lux London, was invited to stage a pre- teen showcase of sparkly clothes on the LFW runway.
It’s a first for designer Rebecca, who brings a smile to the search for simcha dresses and had no shortage of willing models for her fashion week debut and Rebecca has plans afoot with Michelle Levy of teen boutique Silhouette, as together they have created the zappy-named brand Rock the Dress London, which is their label for affordable party dresses for girls aged eight to 16. With more than 20 years’ experience between them, they know what a young girl needs to feel amazing, right down to the shoes which are teamed with the gowns.
