Jewish education group PaJeS recognised by Met Police Commissioner
Partnerships for Jewish Schools named as a finalist in the Met’s Victim Care Award for parental awareness work and facilitating communication between schools
A Jewish education umbrella group has been recognised for excellence by the Metropolitan Police Commissioner Dame Cressida Dick.
Partnerships for Jewish Schools (PaJeS) was named as a finalist in the Met’s Victim Care Award for its around parental awareness work and facilitating communication between schools.
PaJeS set up several WhatsApp contact groups, engaged more than 700 parents and established a priority messaging service, which led to staff attending the awards ceremony hosted by LBC Radio presenter Nick Ferrari, where they were joined by Dick who was keen to learn more.
PaJeS director Rabbi David Meyer said: “We were very moved by the incredible actions of the winners. It was inspiring to see their dedication and commitment and humbling to have been deemed worthy to have been selected as a finalist.”
He added that the Commissioner showed “warmth and a genuine interest in our work… It was an afternoon we will remember and treasure for years to come.”
