Jewish Learning Exchange to rebrand as Olami UK
JLE will be renamed next year, joining an international network for Jewish education and connection
The Jewish Learning Exchange (JLE) is joining Olami, a network of educators and organisations in 25 countries around the world and will be known as Olami UK.
Home to university students and young professionals seeking Jewish learning and community since 1985, JLE will stand alongside Jewish education programmes in cities around the world including New York, Tel Aviv, Paris, Berlin, Buenos Aires, and Sydney, helping create an international network for Jewish connection.
As part of the international “Young Professionals Network”, Olami UK’s participants will experience new educational getaways with likeminded peers from around the globe, sharing expertise, educational resources, social media content and strategic development, content creation, and operational capacity.
Chief executive of Olami UK, Rabbi Benjy Morgan, said: “This is a moment years in the making. The achievements of JLE over four decades have set the stage for Olami UK’s next step forward, proudly joining Olami Manhattan, Olami Paris, Olami Toronto and countless other centres as the go-to destination for Jewish life.
“Our London hub and our programmes at schools and universities will expand to meet the needs of the next generation. Our deepened partnership with Olami means not only greater efficiency and higher quality for our organisation, but most importantly means that students and young professionals will have greater experiences around the world and seek out Olami as they return to London or visit London for the first time.”
Rabbi Avi Cassel, executive vice president of Olami and managing director for North America and English-speaking countries said: “The entire world benefits from the strong and familiar name that Olami has developed for high quality learning, trips, and programming.
“Rabbi Morgan and JLE have been among our most prestigious partners for years, and we are excited that they will now carry the Olami UK name, connecting their students even more deeply to inspiring programming and to other students, young professionals, and communities around the world.”
