Jewish News Podcast: Keir Starmer interview in full
The Labour leader speaks to political editor Lee Harpin about how the party has changed under his leadership — and what he does on Seder night
It was in April 2020 that Keir Starmer became leader of the Labour Party and vowed an end to the era of persistent antisemitism allegations under his predecessor Jeremy Corbyn.
But he began the job in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic so it’s only now, two years into the Starmer era, that the Labour leader has given his first wide-ranging interview to Jewish News.
He spoke to our political editor Lee Harpin about a range of issues including how he handled those antisemitism allegations, whether politicians who felt hounded out of the party like Luciana Berger could ever return, and how he and the Jewish members of his family mark Passover together.
Please note: this interview was recorded on Friday 8 April.
