—————————————————-
GOALKEEPER
Sam Singer (Brady Maccabi) – Made some outstanding saves to earn his side a point, rightly described by his manager as being the best player on the pitch
DEFENCE
Matt Jaffa (Blizzard Storm) – Impressed at left-back for Storm, strong going forward and resolute defensively
Eli Dias (KS Reunited) – Deputised admirably for the missing Ethan Deal won every tackle and strong, barely gave the forwards a kick.
Jordan Sapler (Redbridge B) – Captained the team in Darren Brown’s absence and led from the back with a superb performance, ably assisted by Amir Nathan
Jonny Kaye (AC Mill Hill) – Great performance at right-back. Was defensively strong and popped up at the other end to bag an important goal
MIDFIELD:
Blake Buckman (FC Team C) – Scored the opener and caused the Whetstone defence problems with his running and direct play. Worked hard defensively and put in a lot of strong challenges
Yonni Bord (Catford & Bromley) – His last game before departing for Israel and was exceptional, scoring one and setting up another – possibly his best game in a Catford shirt
Omri Brinner (Harmen) – Solid for the full 90 minutes, did the dirty work for the team and took a lot of kicks from the opposition which didn’t seem to hinder his performance
Mitch Young (FC Team B) – First start of the season, wasn’t meant to play after just having a baby, but came to team’s rescue as side only had ten players
ATTACK:
Phil Braham (King Crown) – Bagged a predatory hat-trick to see his side make it three wins from three as they continue to set the pace at the top of the table
Eric Holveson (Faithfold B) – Didn’t stop running all morning , was a constant threat , provider and scorer
MANAGER OF THE WEEK
Jon Jacobs (Redbridge B)
PLAYER-MANAGER OF THE WEEK:
Sam Singer (Brady Maccabi)
