Kayal swaps Celtic for Brighton & Hove Albion
Israeli midfielder Beram Kayal has signed for Championship side Brighton & Hove Albion – subject to a work permit.
The 26-year-old, who was out of contract at Celtic in the summer, will put pen to paper on a two-and-half year deal, subject to a successful work permit hearing next Wednesday.
Albion boss Chris Hughton said, “We’re delighted to have agreed a deal for someone of Kayal’s stature, he’s got plenty of experience with Celtic, and is an international.
“He is a good age and is a player who is really dynamic in midfield. He can play a few roles, including the holding role, but he also has the energy to break forward.
“He can play in a two or three-man midfield, so that gives us flexibility there. He has been involved in some big games at Celtic and he will really give us another real good option in midfield.”
